1. Who we are

Probashi Bhai ("we", "us") provides a mobile app with news, overseas job listings, flight search, a VPN, short videos and notifications for Bangladeshis living abroad. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

2. Information we process

Anonymous app account. On first launch the app creates a random installation identifier (not a hardware or advertising identifier) and signs in anonymously. With it we receive your app version, Android version, device brand and model, app language and time zone. No name, phone number or email address is required.

Choices you make. Country and city of residence, language, interests, an optional display name, notification preferences and quiet hours, job-alert preferences, and saved or bookmarked items.

Usage events. Events such as screens viewed, articles, jobs or videos opened, "apply" taps, flight searches performed, notification received/opened, and VPN connect/disconnect, with a random session identifier. We use them to run and improve the app, rank content and measure notification campaigns. Search text is sent only to return results; it is not stored with your account or kept as a browsing history.

Notifications. A Firebase Cloud Messaging token, so we can deliver the notifications you allowed, and the read/open status of notifications in your in-app inbox.

VPN. When you connect, we process the server you chose, the connection start and end times and the reason it ended, and your device's public VPN key and tunnel address, which our VPN infrastructure provider needs to create the tunnel. We do not log the websites you visit, your DNS queries or the content of your traffic.

Flights. Your search (airports, dates, passengers, cabin) is sent through our server to our flight search partner to fetch prices. Bookings are made on the partner's or airline's website under their own terms and privacy policy.

Jobs. Job listings are published by third parties. When you apply, you are taken to the employer's or publisher's channel (website, WhatsApp, phone or email); we record only that you tapped "apply", not what you send them.

Videos. Likes, bookmarks, shares, views and any reports you submit.

Technical logs. Our servers keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, request time and errors) for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

3. How we use information

To provide the app's features; to show content for your country and language; to send the notifications you allowed and measure how campaigns perform; to keep the service secure and prevent abuse; and to understand and improve the app. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising profiles.

4. Service providers

We share information only as needed with providers that operate the service for us: our hosting provider, Cloudflare (network security and delivery), Google Firebase (push notifications and, when enabled, app analytics), our flight search partner, and our VPN infrastructure provider. They may process data only to provide their service to us.

5. Security

All connections use HTTPS. On your phone, sign-in tokens and the VPN key are encrypted with the Android Keystore. Access to our systems is restricted and logged.

6. Retention and your choices

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. You can change your country, language, interests and notification preferences in the app at any time, turn notifications off in Android settings, and clear recent searches in Settings. Uninstalling the app removes the data stored on your phone. To ask for access to, or deletion of, the data linked to your installation, email [email protected].

7. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be announced in the app.
